Resort Overview

Summer Adventure Camp
Shikhar Nature Resort is conveniently located 5 km from Uttarkashi on the way to Gangotri - at an altitude of 1150 Mt. The resort is spread around 4 acres of lush green terrace fields surrounded by cliff mountains and situated right on the river bank of Bhagirathi. The Resort is a perfect place for a cool retreat from the noise and pollution of the plains.

The valley brings in sweet breeze with pristine atmosphere full of natural beauty. One can simply relax and enjoy the stay.

The Resort is base for exploring some lovely treks, like Dodital, Nachiketal, and can have day trip to Gangotri 94 kms from the Resort. From Gangotri one can trek to Gaumukh, Tapovan etc.

The Resort is in operation during the period of 01 March- 15 October (i.e. Pre & Post Monsoon summer months only).
 
Accommodation

At Shikhar Nature Resort we have 18 swiss tents of size12ft x 12 ft with attached bath. We have permanent bathrooms with western style toilets, showers & running cold water throughout the day. Hot water is provided in the morning. These are twin bedded and has the space to fit in one extra bed. These tents are provided with clean beds, blankets, bed sheets/pillows, chairs and tea table, bed side table.

Dining & Kitchen

In order to make you feel at home & at the same time offer you high class cuisine's, our kitchen staff is well trained in their respective area. We serve Buffet meals. There is a wide range of vegetarian cuisine's you can choose from - Indian/ Chinese/ Continental. Non-veg is not allowed in Uttarkashi area due to the Holy shrine of Gangotri.


Activities In & Around SNR:

River Crossing at Asi Ganga : 3-4 hours.

Rappelling at Tekhla natural rocks: 8 km drive from Resort. At training area of Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM). Time required 3- 4 hours.

Artifical Rock Climbing at NIM Campus: Drive 8 km to NIM Campus.Time required 4-5 hours.

Out Door Team Building : Exciting group activities conducted at the Resort. Time required approx 1 hour for each activity.

Uttarkashi City Tour: Visit Vishwanath Temple, Himalaya Museum, Local Market.

Yoga, Meditation and Stress relieving sessions: Every morning and evening for 1-2 hours at the resort.

Inhouse Games: Volleyball / Badminton / Table Tennis/ Carrom / Chess & Cricket.

Evening entertainment: Bonfire / music & Movies/Documentaries. (choose from wildlife movies, mountaineering documentaries, children movies & other English/Hindi movies)

Easy Hikes/Treks:

Trek to Ayana Devi Valley: 3-4 hours up/down

Nature Walks : (1-2 hr. in Morning & evenings)

Climate

April-mid June and September-October are some of the best months to visit Uttarkashi and surrounding areas. Summers are quite lovely and pleasant. During July-August the region receives good amount of rainfall.
