School Programmes
INTRODUCTION
We have developed special packages for Schools, that provide a supplement to
the academic curriculum of the school which tries to bring the students more
closer to cleaner and natural environment and instill in them a sense of
adventure together with love for nature. The various activities not only
bring about excitement and thrill to the students, which they would love to
participate and experience, but at the same time it inculcates a wave of
rejuvenation, making their minds fresh and harmonizing their energy and thus
recharging them. |

We have gone a great length to ensure we are truly eco-friendly at Shikhar
Nature Resort. to ensure the beauty of nature today and for the generations
to come.

SAFETY AND SECURITY
As far as safety and security is concerned, the camp is absolutely safe, we
have sufficient staff working. We have proper electricity with 24 hr. back
up facility at the campsite. All adventure activities are conducted with
utmost care and under the watchful guidance of our professional instructors.
All our instructors & guides have long experience in their field of activity
and are trained from institutes like NIM (Nehru Institute of
Mountaineering).
Our camp has been utilized by schools like Scindia school Gwalior, Mayo
College Ajmer, Sadhu Vaswani School For Girls Delhi, Gargi College, IMS
Ghaziabad among others. For School trips its a perfect base camp.
CONFIDENCE AND LEADERSHIP BUILDING
Shikhar Nature resort is a Perfect location for School' Confidence Building
& Motivating out bound Exercises. It brings in the child’s confidence and
further develop the communication and leadership skills. They also inherit
love & care for nature and respect for environment, at the same time develop
a sense of preservation towards nature.

SHIKHAR NATURE RESORT, UTTARKASHI
(School Programme)
Option I : 04 Night/ 05 Days
Day 01: Arrive Uttarkashi
Arrive Uttarkashi and check in at our eco friendly resort- Shikhar Nature
Resort. Camp briefing and allotment of tents. After wash and change have
lunch. Later games and other activities at the Resort like- Volleyball,
badminton, carom, table tennis etc, or explore the nearby hills on foot.
Overnight in tents.

Day 02: Uttarkashi
After breakfast
proceed for river crossing at Asi Ganga 2 km from the Resort. Afternoon
return back to Resort and have lunch. Later proceed for Uttarkashi city tour
covering- Vishwanath temple ( this temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. The main
attraction of this temple is the Shivling which is 60 cm high & 90 cm in
circumference) & NIM- Nehru Institute of Mountaineering.
Dinner and overnight stay in tents. |
Day 03: Uttarkashi/ Nachiketa Tal/ Uttarkashi
Morning after breakfast, proceed for Nachiketa Tal trek with Packed Lunch.
Drive till Chaurangi Khal, 29 kms from Uttarkashi. From there trek for 03
kms through lush green forests till the Tal. Evening return back to
Uttarkashi. Bonfire dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Day 04: Uttarkashi/ Thekla/ Uttarkashi
After breakfast proceed for ROCK
CLIMBING AND RAPPELLING either at Tekhla training area, 10 km from the
Resort. Packed lunch will be served over there. Evening Return back to camp.
Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Day 05: Depart Uttarkashi.
Morning after breakfast, check-out from the resort for further destination.
Option II: Dodital Trek (04Night/ 05 Days)
Season: April to October
Maximum Altitude: 3024 mts
Trek Grade: Moderate
No. of Days: 05 Days
The trek commences from Uttarkashi and we travel to Kalyani by road.
Kalyani to Bhewra is a gradual climb through woods, fields and villages
on a mule track. The trek from Agoda to Dodital is steep and through
thick forests.
Day 01: Arrive Uttarkashi
Arrive Uttarkashi and check-in at Shikhar Nature Resort (SNR), located at
the Bank of River Bhagirathi (Ganges), welcome tea/coffee and allotment of
the tents. Dinner & Overnight at SNR
Day 02: Uttarkashi - Kalyani - Agoda - Bhewra (Drive: 11 km; Trek: 17
Kms )
Morning after breakfast drive to Road Head at Kalyani (1550 mt). Start your
first day's trek to Bhewra (2160 mt) few km after Agoda (2050 mt) by
covering approx. 17 kms in 04 to 05 hrs. The trek passes through dense
forest. Arrive Bhewra and set-up camp near water fall for overnight stay.
Day 03: Bhewra - Majhi - Dodital ( Trek :13 kms)
After breakfast start the trek to Majhi. Stop here for lunch. Majhi has few
Shephard hut and it offers very beautiful view of Darwa Top. After lunch
continue Trek to Dodital (3024m), in about 4-5 hrs. Dodital is a beautiful
lake surrounded by forests of Pine, Deodar, Oak etc. Lake is full of
Himalayan Golden Trouts. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.
Day 04: Dodital - Agoda - Kalyani - SNR (Trek: 30 kms; Drive 11 kms)
After early breakfast trek down to Kalyani with packed lunch. On reaching
the road head, drive back to the Shikhar Nature resort. Dinner & Overnight
at SNR.
Day 05: Depart Uttarkashi
Morning after breakfast, depart to further destination. |
